To keep your 18ct yellow gold glowing and preserve the smooth operation of its clasp, proper maintenance is recommended. Always apply perfumes, body lotions, hairsprays, and tanning products before attaching your extender, as chemical build-up can dull gold surfaces over time. Remove the extender prior to swimming in chlorinated pools, exercising, or bathing. To clean, submerge the extender in a small bowl of warm water mixed with a few drops of mild liquid soap for 10 to 15 minutes.
