Before first use, wash the Samuel Groves Enamelled Cast Iron Gratin Dish with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Always use oven gloves when handling, as the dish and integrated handles can become extremely hot during cooking. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a hot dish directly into cold water, to prevent thermal shock and damage to the enamel coating. Use wooden, silicone or heat-resistant utensils to help protect the enamel surface from scratches. Avoid metal scourers, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. Hand washing with a soft sponge and mild detergent is recommended to maintain the finish. Allow the dish to cool completely before cleaning. Do not use if the enamel becomes chipped or damaged. Place on a heat-resistant surface when removing from the oven. Store in a clean, dry place to maintain its quality and long-lasting performance.
