Vernal Equinox - Vinyl LP
“Refund was approved and back in my account the same day.” - Deliver+ customer
Vernal Equinox is an essential Jon Hassell record, already mapping the atmosphere, space and borderless musical language that would echo through so much later ambient and fourth world work. The textures feel humid, suspended and quietly radical without ever becoming formless. What makes it last is the balance between mood and movement. The trumpet, electronics and percussion never flatten into background drift; they keep the record alive, tactile and slightly uncanny from the first side through the long title piece.SIDE ONE:1. Toucan Ocean2. Viva Shona3. Hex4. Blues NileSIDE TWO:1. Vernal Equinox2. Caracas Night September 11, 1975
