Description

Latin Name: Citrus Aurantium Part of Plant Used: Flowers Source: Tunisia Extraction Method: Steam Distillation (5% Dilution in Grapeseed Oil) This Neroli Essential Oil is derived from the delicate blossoms of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium var. amara), also known as Neroli bigarade. The flowers are hand-picked, and because they cannot withstand high heat, the oil is extracted using gentle water distillation. Valued for its exquisite aroma and therapeutic qualities, Neroli oil is cherished worldwide. Its calming properties make it popular for easing chronic anxiety, depression, fear, shock, and stress. It is also believed to help relieve intestinal spasms, colitis, and diarrhea. With natural sedative effects, it is often used to support insomnia, heart palpitations, neuralgia, and vertigo. When diffused, it creates a comforting, especially helpful during recovery. Topically, Neroli oil is appreciated for supporting skin regeneration and may help reduce scars, smooth the complexion, and improve the appearance of stretch marks and broken capillaries. Historically, Neroli oil dates back to ancient times and was favored by the Romans. Its name comes from Princess Anna Maria Orsini of Nerola, who popularized its use in 1680. Due to the delicate harvesting process, Neroli remains one of the most precious essential oils.
