Build or upgrade your solar power system with this T branch diode connector and splitter, a solar panel diode connector compatible with MC4 style connectors. It contains a Schottky diode (15SQ045 Schottky barrier rectifier); compared with a standard rectifier diode, a Schottky diode has a lower forward voltage drop, so it does not reduce power significantly. This T branch design comes with male and female connectors, allowing you to connect panels in parallel. Its features include a metal silicon rectifier with majority carrier conduction, a guard ring for transient protection, low power loss with high efficiency, high surge capability and low forward voltage. It has ESD protection to IEC 61000-4-2 (above 30KV air and 15KV contact). It uses a JEDEC R-6 moulded plastic case, the colour band denotes the cathode, and it can be mounted in any position. It is rated at 1000V DC or 30A max and is IP66 waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor installations. It weighs 108.9g. Please make sure the diode is fitted in the correct direction and that its rating suits your panels and system. Solar panels produce power whenever there is light, so cover the panels before connecting or disconnecting. Electrical installation should be carried out by a competent person in line with current wiring regulations. It is supplied in a PP bag. Package includes 1 set x solar panel connector.
