Cleaning instructions for pasta machines:When using for the first time, waste a small amount of dough by rolling it through the machine several times (this is the standard cleaning method for most pasta machines). After use, the machine will usually remain as good as new; simply wipe the surface clean. A useful technique is to knead the dough until it is drier and firmer, as repeated rolling of firmer dough results in more resilient and flavourful pasta. If the machine accidentally gets wet or damp, dry it thoroughly with a hairdryer before storing. Special note: The yellow substance in the hole is a residue of copper oxide from the electroplating process, not rust.
