The Shroud of Turin has been embroiled in controversy for centuries, but the face of controversy is about to change... The year is 2008 and Jes Adler, thirty, has just learned he was cloned from blood samples extracted from the ancient relic, known in Italy as the Sindone. A manhunt ensues when the scientists who created Jes reveal their secret to the world and admit they lost track of their experiment. Magda Shaw, a tenacious journalist, locates Jes birth mother, who leads her to Jes. Once his identity is revealed, Jes life transforms and he must come to terms with the worlds expectations of him. Heralded as the Second Coming of Christ, Jes denounces this claim as blasphemous, yet he becomes reluctantly bound to remind humanity to prepare itself. Divine intervention and genetic memory guide Jes to the Sindone, where he discovers the relics hidden secrets and its divine remedy for the world. Science fiction, allegory, intrigue, and romance weave together in this heros journey of one mans quest to reclaim his human identity, without betraying his divine source or denying hope to a world in desperate need of a redeemer. Sindone unites religion and science with this refreshing and unique contemplation of the worlds most widely studied relic, The Shroud of Turin. Written as a screenplay, this intriguingly controversial premise challenges the reader to use imagination and embark upon an introspective exploration of human suffering, hope, and redemption.
