The McAlpine Side Tundish is a plumbing fitting designed to provide a visual indication of the discharge from a hot water cylinder relief valve. It is made of durable plastic and has a 3/4" outlet. The side tundish is installed on the discharge pipework and provides a visible air gap for the safe discharge of hot water. It can be used with unvented hot water cylinders, boilers and other hot water systems where there is a potential risk of scalding or damage from hot water discharge. The tundish helps to prevent contamination of the hot water supply and meets the relevant industry standards and regulations for safe hot water discharge.
