Description

POEMS FROM THE DIVAN OF NIZAMI (Other than Masnavis) Translation Introduction Paul Smith. Nizami (d. 1208) is a true Sufi Master Poet who is most famous for his six books in masnavi form The Treasury of Mysteries, Layla and Majnun, Khrosrau and Shirin, The Seven Portraits and his two books on Alexander. Selected Bibliography. The correct rhymestructure has been kept and the power and meaning of these beautiful, usually mystical poems. Azerbaijan has named 2021 the Year of Nizami Ganjavi. Large Print (16 pt) Large Format (8" x 10") 294 pages. Comments on Paul Smiths Translation of Hafizs Divan.
