Lockdown, because of Covid 19, meant for many people an opportunity to reevaluate their lives. Some folk embarked on new hobbies. Jigsaws became popular once again and many people ventured into new craft activities. Some turned to writing, with a view to publishing their first novel. I stitched several tapestries, which I subsequently framed , and then, when my wife decided we had more than enough I thought I would write a memoir. I had no intention of publishing it. After all, it would have a very limited market. Whoever would want to read about the life of a Methodist minister? No, it was simply something to fill in my time and leave for my family and friends.When I joined a Rotary Club I prepared an an address to introduce myself.This was amended and used when I was asked to talk to a number of Womens meetings.I also had copies of Round Robins which we had sent out each Christmas for many years and audio and video diaries I kept when we visited America.It would just be a case of putting them together in a single narrative. Then someone suggested "Why not publish it?". So here it is. I hope you enjoy it.
