Carafe Half Full is a sequel to Recorked, chronicled several months later. Mike is the Financial Manager at Neutron Star Winery, and has made many good strides improving company operations in his tenure. Now, however, the economy has turned south, placing new pressures on profitability. Mike is taking a small trip with his new girlfriend Carly to wineries in an adjacent county to try and glean opportunities for operational improvement. Hes doing it quickly, before the Neutron Board decides to do something drastic, like slashing heads to cut costs. One of those heads could be his own.Carafe Half Full is written firstperson, from Mikes vantage point, giving us a chance to see him mine new opportunities. we see him carefully dancing so he doesnt blow it with his cool new girlfriend.
