Looming The Spindle is a dark, abrasive record that still knows how to move. The Pleasure Majenta bring together post-punk tension, broken electronics, guitar scrape and a properly physical low-end, so the album feels oppressive in a useful way rather than simply grey.It is a strong one for listeners who like their noise shaped into actual songs. Fabric and Sad2say tighten the screws, Full Of It adds a nastier jolt and Gardens sends the record out with a lingering after-image.
