As we only use the 100% natural raw slate and hand-cut it to shape, irregularities on the surface /sharp edges & corners and tiny chips off within the finished designs are to be expected. 2. To maintain the appearance of these items over time and hide scratches, a natural/cooking oil can be re-applied using a dry, lint free cloth. DO NOT wash in the dishwasher; Do not use with abrasive pan scrubs; DO NOT place in either a conventional OR a microwave oven. 3. Our slate products are heat resistant- perfect for hot pans and dishes; Fridge and freezer safe. Please keep away from Children under 18 year old, this is not a toy. 4. Some items may have minor scuffs/scratches or the package is squashed from being bulk shipped to the warehouse.However, we guarantee all products are New. 5.
