This 4ft6 double cream velvet ottoman bed is designed for a 135 x 190 cm mattress. A hydraulic lift raises the mattress base to uncover the compartment beneath. A padded headboard gives a backrest above the separate mattress support. Velvet wraps the headboard and the visible edges of the frame, giving the bed a soft upholstered finish. The mattress base lifts on hydraulic supports to open the storage area below. The compartment can hold spare bedding or clothing, with room needed above the bed to lift the base. The hydraulic supports sit at the foot end, so the mattress base lifts to expose the underbed compartment without requiring another storage cabinet beside the bed. Slats span the frame beneath the mattress rather than relying on a separate solid platform. The outer frame extends past the mattress and should be allowed for in the room layout. The assembled frame measures approximately 200 x 145 x 120 cm. A mattress is not included. Plan around the full assembled frame, including the headboard and its side panels. The upholstered headboard stays visible above the mattress and forms the principal decorative edge of the frame. Use the assembled height, including the headboard, when checking the bed’s position beneath a window or sloping ceiling. Maximum load: 300 kg. Recommended mattress thickness: 25–30 cm.
