It is fast growing with beautiful slender leaves that are white on the underside turning orange in Autumn. Willow grows well in all soil types but thrives in damp soils making it excellent for flood prevention or to dry out damp or boggy parts of a field or hedgerow. It is very wildlife friendly providing habitat for insects and birds, and is also a horse friendly plant.
