Negroni, the cocktail that started all of this. The history of the Negroni is clouded in mystery. It is suggested that the Negroni was invented at Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy in 1919. Apparently, Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend, bartender Forsco Scarselli, to strengthen his favourite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing the soda water with gin. Mine is the classic with a unique twist. I use my very own superb Fat Adam’s Gin, with Campari and Cinzano 1757, which I prefer in my Classic Negroni. I finish this off with a unique mix of orange bitters to infuse the drink with some orange notes, giving this a wonderful nose and taste all the way through. The aging and the infusion take this beyond the limits that a freshly made negroni cannot match. A great gift to friends, family, colleagues and, of course, yourself! Disclaimer: Age verification required on delivery or collection: This product is not for sale to people under the age of 18. To confirm the recipient is over 18 years of age, valid photographic ID with a date of birth will be required upon delivery or collection.
We age ours to get it just right and bottle it for you to pour over a large ice cube and garnish with orange. Give the cocktail a minute to chill and let the water just soften it a touch, giving the aromas a little nose time, before you take a small sip, enjoying the ‘mouth-feel’ and taking your time, enjoying the experience.
