User comfort:The Merino wool plush loops are comfortable and warmWarmth:The Thermolite thread and the wool capture and retain your body heat.Abrasion resistance:The toe and heel are reinforced for greater resistance to wear.Stability:Elastic at the ankle and calf to ensure they stay in place as you walk.Odour control:Merino wool naturally prevents the formation of unpleasant odours. In which conditions should you wear full-height socks?: These socks are recommended for static hunting, low-intensity use and regular use. For example, for static-watch drive hunting, shooting game birds or stalking in the autumn, these socks will help to keep your feet warm. Since we all feel the cold differently, we recommend these socks for temperatures between 0 and 10°C, but this can vary from one person to another. What materials are these socks made of?: These Merino wool socks are knitted with large plush loops under the foot, and on the calf and shin. The parts between these areas are knitted in medium plush loops of Thermolite synthetic thread to keep your feet warm, even in damp conditions. The toe and heel are reinforced with polyamide thread for greater resistance to wear. The calf, ankle and instep are elasticated for a firm fit when walking. The advantages of Merino wool: Merino wool regulates body temperature and wicks away moisture. These qualities make it ultra-comfortable and soft. This material also naturally limits the growth of odour-causing bacteria. In other words, after a physical effort and heavy perspiration, merino wool prevents evaporation and helps to maintain body temperature by absorbing most body moisture. This limits the unpleasant chilling effect. Why should you choose a sock size suited to your foot size?: It is important to choose a sock size that fits your foot to avoid any extra folds: if the sock is too big, there will be too much material around your foot and you will not be comfortable; if the sock is too small, it will be "dragged" down towards the inside of the shoe, which may cause rubbing, pain or even blisters by the end of your outing. What's the elastane for?: These full-height socks are made with 2% elastane for improved hold on the foot. We use elastane because it is a material that allows the sock to adapt to your foot and stay in place. How to wash your Merino wool socks: We recommend you wash these Merino wool socks in the washing machine at 30°, on a normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent. Dry flat, NEVER in a tumble dryer, unless you want to shrink them by a size or two! Sock height: UKsizes(EUsizes) 2.5/4 (35/37) 5/6.5 (38/40) 7/8.5 (41/43) 9.5/11 (44/46) 12/13.5 (47/49) Shaft height 36cm 37cm 38cm 39cm 40cm
