Like the warm embrace of the sun itself, the sunflower compels your attention in any decorative scheme. For this pattern, I wanted to celebrate the main character personality of the sunflower’s flower head while thoroughly enjoying the curvaceous character of its fleshy leaves and the firm verticality of the stalk. Inspired by 17th-century cut velvets from Italy, as well as the Arts and Crafts movement, ‘Sunnyside Up’ has a voluptuous rhythm that makes any wall feel sun-kissed.
