The bundle combines high-density polyurethane (PU) rebond foam underlay at 110 kg/m³ with matching gripper rods, making it a complete DIY fitting solution. The underlay adds plush cushioning beneath fitted carpets, while the gripper rods help secure carpet edges around walls, corners and stair edges during stretch-fit installation. 44dB impact sound reduction helps limit footfall noise between floors, while 3.13 Tog thermal insulation adds underfoot warmth in colder rooms. Tested thickness loss below 5% under static and dynamic loading supports dependable long-term performance. Classified for Luxury Use. Available in 5m² + 20 rods, 10m² + 40 rods or 15m² + 60 rods. Low VOC emissions and no objectionable odour.

Kit includes carpet underlay plus matching gripper rods. To install, prepare a clean, dry and level subfloor free of debris, dust and moisture. Position gripper rods around the perimeter of the room and along stair edges with pins facing towards the wall, secured with appropriate fixings (nails not included). Roll out the underlay foam side up (following manufacturer indication if provided), position with joins butted together and trim to fit walls, corners and stair edges using a sharp utility knife. Do not overlap underlay joins. Follow standard carpet-fitting practices for stretch-fit installation. Store rolled in a dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight before installation. Not designed for underfloor heating unless verified against manufacturer heat rating. Not suitable for use with laminate or vinyl flooring - designed specifically for fitted carpets. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling gripper rods (contain sharp pins) and when cutting underlay.
