Vitamin K2 is MK-7 (Menaquinone-7) form and is an all trans, bioactive form of Vitamin K2. This means that it acts the same way natural Vitamin K does in the body, making it the most effective bioavailable form. Each serving contains a high strength of 200mcg per tablet. Vitamin K2 is an important fat-soluble vitamin; it contributes to the maintenance of normal bones (claim substantiated by EFSA – European Food Safety Authority). It works by directing the calcium to the bones and away from blood vessels and kidneys. It then activates a protein that helps bind the calcium to the bones.
