Start at the top and work your way down. Dust the cord/rope/chain and the very top of your pendant with an extendable duster. Using the duster or a soft, dry microfibre cloth, gently wipe the glass/fabric to remove any excess dust, dirt and grime. For spot cleaning, use any good glass cleaner and a paper towel.
