This 4ft6 double velvet bed is designed for a 135 x 190 cm mattress. The slatted base sits within the frame, which is finished in velvet around the visible sides. A padded headboard gives a backrest above the separate mattress support. The exposed bed panels are covered in velvet, creating a consistent finish from headboard to side rails. Fabric pockets hold a book, phone or other small items near the mattress. They add accessible storage along the padded side without taking up the sleeping surface or requiring a separate box on the floor. The headboard offers adjustable height settings for the chosen mattress. Set it to suit the chosen mattress thickness during assembly so that the padded panel remains at a useful height behind the sleeping area. A slatted sleeping platform sits beneath the mattress within the bed structure. The sleeping platform is set within the frame, whose outside dimensions govern placement.
