This 4ft6 double velvet bed is designed for a 135 x 190 cm mattress. The headboard can be adjusted to sit at a useful height above the chosen mattress. The padded headboard has button detailing and makes a backrest when sitting up in bed. The headboard is velvet-covered to match the visible upholstered parts of the mattress frame. The frame’s slats provide the base on which the specified mattress rests. Side rails around the slatted base add to the size occupied by the bed. The headboard offers adjustable height settings for the chosen mattress. Set it to suit the chosen mattress thickness during assembly so that the padded panel remains at a useful height behind the sleeping area. The upholstered headboard adjusts to suit the chosen mattress thickness, with wooden slats supporting the double sleeping area. A mattress is not included. The mattress size is smaller than the bed’s finished outline, including its side panels. The mattress sits below the headboard, leaving its shaped upholstered surface on show. A low window ledge may affect the bed’s placement; compare it with the full height of the upholstered headboard. Fixed side panels extend beyond the dimensions of the mattress itself. Maximum load: 300 kg. Recommended mattress thickness: 20–26 cm.
