On Wednesday 25th November 2020, Boca Juniors, Diego Maradonas beloved club tweeted "Eternal thanks. Eternal Diego." La Bombonera. They called it a cathedral, never more so than on this tearfilled day as thousands stood young and old in tribute. No words to describe the loss. In a wonderfully, moving gesture that same evening, Boca switched all the lights off in the stadium, except for Diego Maradonas private box on the halfway line. A stadium cast in darkness, only Maradonas throne left illuminated. An emotional punch to the heart for not just Boca supporters, but indeed an entire country.
