Grow your own banana tree in your home with this set of banana plants! The indoor banana plant, also called Musa Oriental Dwarf, originates from South-East Asia and Australia. It is a tropical houseplant with beautiful large green leaves. The Musa is a slow growing houseplant, creating thick leaves on a sturdy rootstock. The plant is currently extremely popular and can be found in almost every interior magazine.
The Musa Oriental Dwarf prefers a light spot and lots of water. The soil can always be quite moist so give the plant a sip regularly. The Musa likes a lot of warmth, 13°C is the minimum temperature. In winter, the plant can stand a little cooler, so give a little less water. In summer the Musa can be placed outside on the terrace, as long as it is not too cold. However, the plant definitely cannot tolerate frost, so bring it inside in time. Cut away old, unsightly leaves to stimulate new leaf growth.
