Euphorbia milii, better known as Christ's thorn, is a flowering succulent native to Madagascar. The branches of Euphorbia milii are said to be woven from the crown of Christ, making it known as the Christ thorn. This plant is popular for its low maintenance and drought tolerance, so dry air due to heating, for example, is not a problem. Euphorbia milii blooms with small, pink flowers from March to September. The plant looks beautiful, but it is important to be careful, as the toxic sap can cause skin irritation.
The plant prefers a sunny spot where the temperature does not drop below 15°C. Water the plant moderately and let the soil dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. During the growth period, from March to September, fertilise once every 14 days.
