A tropical look, easy to care for and air purifying abilities. The Dracaena 'Lemon Lime' has it all! This amazing houseplant originates from Africa, Central America and Asia. The climate in these areas is rather harsh for plants, but that does mean that the Dracaena can take a beating and is therefore easy to care for. This plant is also known as the Dragon's Blood Tree, because of the red resin that flows from the plant when a cut is made in the stem or leaves. This houseplant filters polluted particles from the air and creates a healthier surroundings. The Dracaena requires little maintenance. It is the ideal plant for in your home or office. This Dracaena is characterised by its sharp, dark green leaves with a light coloured stripe.

The Dracaena does very well in a spot in the (semi-) shade. Also this plant does not need a lot of water. Only water the plant when the soil feels dry. Too much water can cause root rot. This can be recognized by the leaves: brown spots with yellow edges will appear here. Should this happen, it is advised to give less water and remove the brown leaves. When the plant is wet for a longer period, the roots may rot and then it is difficult to save the plant. In winter, the plant needs even less water than in summer. When in doubt, rather water a little too little than too much. Pruning is not necessary, but can be done in the fall to keep the plant compact.
