The Dieffenbachia 'Tropic' is a beautiful houseplant. Characteristic are its many leaves with fresh green color accents on the dark green leaves. The original origin of the dieffenbachia is South America. Named in tribute to the Viennese botanist Joseph Dieffenbach.
The Dieffenbachia does well in a light, sunny spot in the home or office. Preferably no direct sunlight. Because it is a tropical plant with large leaves that needs a relatively large amount of moisture, it is important to always keep the soil slightly moist. You can let the plant dry for a while before watering again, but make sure that the roots do not remain in the water because of the root rot that will occur. The growing period runs from March to August. Water slightly more in summer than in winter.
