The Sarracenia purpurea requires a consistently moist surroundings, mimicking its natural habitat. It is very much advised to water the plant with distilled water or rainwater, as tap water often contains minerals that can harm its sensitive root system. It thrives in full sun, so placing it in a sunny location is crucial. However, care must be taken to avoid extreme heat, as it can damage the plant. During the growing season, it is essential to keep the pitchers filled with water. Lastly, to maintain the plant's vitality, occasional feeding with live insects, such as small flies or ants, can supplement its nutrient requirements.
