The Vanda is a genus of tropical orchids native to Southeast Asia and other regions of the world with warm and humid climates. Known for their beautiful, vibrant blooms, Vanda orchids are a popular choice for home gardeners and professional growers alike. Vandas are epiphytic orchids, meaning they grow on other plants rather than in the ground. In the wild, Vandas often grow on trees and other plants, using their roots to anchor themselves and absorb nutrients from the surrounding air and rainwater. The Vanda "New Blue" has a color combination of purple and blue.

Vandas require specific care in order to thrive. They prefer warm temperatures (between 18 and 27°C) and plenty of bright, indirect light. While they can tolerate direct sunlight, it is best to avoid exposing them to intense sun during the hottest parts of the day. Vandas also need regular watering, but they do not like to sit in standing water, so it is important to allow the soil or growing medium to dry out slightly between waterings.
