Ficus Benjamina Danielle, also known as Weeping Fig, is one of the most popular ficus. The plant has beautiful dark green, smooth leaves on branches that droop slightly. The plant has a lot of leaves, which makes it a striking appearance. It is a bit more compact than other Ficus Benjamina species, though. Besides being very beautiful, the plant is also very air-purifying. Not only does it convert CO2 into oxygen, but it also filters harmful substances from the air and improves humidity. In addition, it is a strong plant that requires little maintenance. Ficus originates from Africa, but it is also found in South America, Australia and Asia.
Ficus likes a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight, especially in summer. Furthermore, ficus prefers a temperature of at least 15 degrees. It is advisable to remove the leaves from time to time to promote growth, as they can collect a lot of dust. Ficus Benjamina Daniëlle needs water about once or twice a week. Let the soil dry well between watering, and during winter the plant needs less water. Between March and September, the ficus would like some regular plant food. Eventually, in a spacious pot, ficus can grow up to 2 metres tall! Be careful though, as ficus is toxic to children and animals.
