The automatic movement winds with the motion of your arm, though it is recommended to wind the watch every two weeks. A screw-down crown ensures a water-resistant seal; to adjust settings, unscrew the crown counterclockwise, pull/push into position to set the time and date, and screw it back clockwise to close.
