The Thunderbolt 3 cable connects up to 6 devices when daisy-chained via USB Type C. Offers data, power and video through a single cable solution. Fast data transfer of up to 20Gbps, twice that of Thunderbolt 2. Combined with PCI Express Gen 3 and DisplayPort 1.2, applications are extensive. Supports external GPU docks for notebooks, providing high-end gaming graphics from portable computers. Allows use of two external displays at 4K60Hz whilst providing high-speed data and power simultaneously. Using USB Power Delivery technology, Thunderbolt cables deliver up to 100W of power over a single connection, with legacy devices receiving up to 15W. The fully reversible connector enables quick attachment. The Thunderbolt host port uses an integrated USB 3.1 controller for maximum backwards compatibility at 10Gbps speeds.
