Bismarck German Battle Ship 1/350 300078013 the Bismarck, her sister ship was the Tirpitz, was put into service in August 1940. It went to sea under the command of Captain Ernst Lindemann and at the time was the largest and most powerful Battleship. It could reach a top speed of 30.1 knots (approx. 56 km/H). Its weaponry included 8 380 mm QFG L/47 twin guns, 12 150 mm QFG L/55 Twin guns 16 x 105 mm L/65 A/A and 16 37 mm A/A and 12 20 mm A/A cannon. It sank, in the North Atlantic, at the end of May during the Second World War after a heavy battle with units of the British Royal Navy. The majority of its crew was lost.
