Malus ‘Director Moerlands’ is an ornamental crab apple tree valued for its deep pink spring blossom and burgundy-purple fruits. Supplied as a bare root tree approximately 5–6ft tall, it is grown and selected at our Norfolk nursery. In spring, this variety produces masses of dark pink flowers, followed by glossy, wine-coloured crab apples that often persist into winter. At maturity, it typically reaches approximately 15–20ft (4.5–6m) with a neat, upright habit suitable for lawns, borders, and formal planting schemes. Fully hardy and adaptable, it performs well in most soil types and prefers a sunny or lightly shaded position. Best suited to planting directly into the ground, though it can also be grown in a large container where size can be managed.
