Prunus ‘Beniyakuta’ Flowering Cherry Tree Bare Root 5–6ft Tall. Prunus ‘Beniyakuta’ is supplied as a bare root flowering cherry tree at approximately 5–6ft tall. Grown at our family nursery in Norfolk, this ornamental variety is known for its rich pink double flowers that appear in late spring. With an upright, spreading habit and gently arching branches, ‘Beniyakuta’ is suitable for feature planting, avenues, and mixed ornamental garden schemes. (Prunus ‘Beniyakuta’ – Ornamental, approx. 25–30ft / 7.5–9m at maturity). Produces large, rich pink double flowers in late spring. Fresh green foliage emerges after flowering and provides summer interest. Leaves develop shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn. Forms a broad, spreading crown with arching branches at maturity. This variety is fully hardy and suitable for most soil types. For best results, plant in a sunny, sheltered position. Suitable for planting directly into the ground. Planting & Care (Bare Root Trees): Soak roots in water for 1–2 hours before planting. Dig a hole wide enough to spread the roots naturally. Position so the root flare sits at soil level. Backfill, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Stake if planting in exposed locations. Mulch around the base, keeping clear of the trunk. Water regularly during the first growing season. Once established, Prunus ‘Beniyakuta’ is low-maintenance and provides seasonal interest with spring flowers and autumn foliage colour.

Ideal Planting Locations: Suitable for lawns, feature planting, and ornamental garden schemes. Thrives in full sun in a sheltered position and grows well in fertile, well-drained soils including loam, clay, or sandy soil, provided drainage is good.
