The drive detects and responds to physical tampering and provides automatic data protection upon drive removal. For added peace of mind, the drive uses digitally-signed firmware that makes it immune to BadUSB. S1000 allows for two passphrase types: either a complex password or a passphrase up to 255 characters long. After ten invalid password attempts, the drive locks down with the option to reformat or destroy it.
