Simply place it under a roof or downspout and rain will run directly into the barrel so it’s stored until you need it – any excess water will run out of the top overflow pipe, and a leaf guard over the entrance keeps out debris. When you want to water your garden, a tap and valve at the bottom allows you to directly connect your garden hose.
