The soft cotton twill (with a touch of spandex) provides a frankly silly level of dynamic movement. And this naturally breathable material makes the Bloc Short ideal for baking hot sport climbs and sweaty indoor bouldering. If that wasn’t enough climbing comfort, the diamond-shape gusseted crotch and above-the-knee cut allow you to execute awkward moves with orangutan levels of limb looseness. The stretchy twill also allowed us to make the Bloc Climbing Short a slimmer fit than standard climbing shorts, so they don't snag on craggier crags. Climbing shorts need to be durable, especially if they’re being subjected to rough Peak District grit. Cotton is a naturally hard-wearing material and possesses inherent grip properties. A simple low-profile elastic waistband is easy to pull on and fits neatly under harnesses. And there are four jeans-style pockets for phones, guidebooks and retina-burningly bright beanies.

Wash your shorts on a delicate cycle at 30ºC or handwash with lukewarm water. Use a non-biological detergent or pure soap but don't use fabric conditioners or softeners. Rinse thoroughly in clean water and line dry, or tumble dry at a low heat. Store above dog chewing height.
