Taking inspiration from our recent British & Irish Lions retro replica shirt range, we have combined retro with modern fashion by adding the famous three lions badge to a hoodie to add to our popular casualwear range. The shirt that has gave us such inspiration is from the 1930's British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand. Previous to this tour the team nickname "the Lions" influenced three heraldic versions of the animal to be on the jersey badge in 1930. This was the tour to New Zealand where the tourists now standard jerseys caused some controversy. The convention in rugby is for the home side to accommodate its guests when there is a clash of kit. The New Zealand side, by then already synonymous with the appellation "All Blacks", had an all kit that clashed with the Lions'. After much reluctance and debate New Zealand agreed to change for the Tests and the All Blacks became the All Whites for the first time. Regular Fit. Embroidered Badge.
