Made with 95% natural origin ingredients, and 100% natural origin French alcohol, Le Sel d'Issey is a fresh woody marine perfume. A vegan fragrance in which the power of salt is revealed by masculine earthy notes.
With this new eau de toilette, perfumer Quentin Bisch gives scentless salt a fragrance, bringing an olfactory dimension to the otherwise odourless substance. The salty polarity encapsulates the sea with its vigorous salt accord. Natural origin marine seaweed blends with natural origin oak moss- a type of algae that migrated inland, linking to the fragrance's second olfactive polarity. Enhancing the freshness of the salt accord, notes of sparkling ginger rush forth in the earthy polarity. Woody notes reveal their intensity, infusing the fragrance with density and texture. Natural sand vetiver combines with cedarwood - a natural upcycled ingredient distilled from side stream dust in furniture making. The dynamic interplay between the salty and earthy polarities invigorates the fragrance, for a raw and powerful masculinity.

A pure & clean perfume bottle. With its sharp aesthetic, the perfume bottle captures the light and energy of salt. The internationally renowned designer behind the creation, Tokujin Yoshioka, has previously collaborated directly with Mr. Miyake, and his work explores the natural process of crystallization. The light gray tone of the fragrance is visible through the transparent bottle - made with 20% recycled glass - symbolizing the salt at the scent's core. At the base, a clear hemisphere symbolizes strength and masculinity. In harmony with the fragrance, the outer box is infused with a natural gray hue to reflect the purity of salt, while the matte surface echoes the rugged texture of salt crystals. For the first time, the card uses 10% upcycled seaweed and material from well-managed, FSC™-certified forests and other controlled sources. Le Sel d'Issey is refillable and is available in 50ml and 100ml sizes, with a 150ml refill. Made in France.
