To clean your kettle, first unplug it from the wall socket and allow it to fully cool. Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the base with a moistened cloth, then dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive, aggressive, or caustic cleaning materials, as these can cause permanent damage to your appliance. If you live in an area with hard water, you may experience a build-up of lime-scale over time. In this case, use a proprietary de-scaling product and follow the manufacturer's instructions. After de-scaling, fill your kettle with clean water, boil, empty, and rinse it, repeating this process twice before using the kettle again. You may also notice the appearance of small rust spots within your kettle, caused by impurities in the water. This is not a fault and is no cause for concern.
