Wool based mattresses require regular maintenance, including flipping and rotating, in order to maintain their shape and prevent sagging. Use a waterproof mattress protector to guard against spills and accidents. Odours present from our natural fillings are non-toxic, naturally occurring, cannot be avoided and if any natural smells persist, rest assured that it will dissipate naturally over time within a few weeks. Clean any spills or stains promptly using a mild detergent and warm water, and allow the mattress to dry thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaners on the mattress, as they may damage the materials. We are dedicated to supplying mattresses built to high nursery safety standards. All of our mattresses comply with BS 7177 for flammability, without the use of antimony, phosphorus, or arsenic based fire retardant treatments. Additionally, the following standards apply depending on the type of mattress you are ordering: Moses Basket, Carrycot & Pram Mattresses — EN 18700 Complies with EN 18700 requirements for infant mattresses. This standard requires that the gap between the mattress and the sides and ends of the product does not exceed 30mm on all four sides, helping to ensure a safe and secure fit. Crib, Cot, Cot Bed & Single Bed Mattresses — EN 16890 Complies with EN 16890 requirements for nursery mattresses. This standard requires that the gap between the mattress and the sides and ends of the bed does not exceed 30mm on all four sides. Travel Cot Mattresses — BS 1877 Part 10 Complies with BS 1877 Part 10 safety and performance requirements.
